FFF Enterprises is pleased to announce that we have been awarded Verified-Accredited Wholesale Distributors (VAWD) accreditation by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). The VAWD program was developed to help protect the public from the threat of counterfeit drugs to the United States' drug supply.
FFF is one of only six wholesale distributors in the nation that have earned NABP accreditation.
"We are very pleased to have received accreditation by the NABP," said Patrick M. Schmidt, FFF Enterprises president and CEO. "This program is fully supported by the FDA and, along with our
Guaranteed Channel Integrity, it is one more way to assure our patients that the products we distribute are being handled with the utmost safety and care."
FFF is also able to verify the security of our supply channel with our
Verified Electronic Pedigree system, or VEP. VEP allows our customers to quickly access a drug pedigree for each product received from FFF.
"Our Verified Electronic Pedigree validates our Guaranteed Channel Integrity," Schmidt explained, "in the same way that the NABP accreditation validates our licensing and good practices. Supply channel and product safety are vital components of quality patient care."
VAWD accreditation provides assurance that FFF operates legitimately, is validly licensed in good standing, and is employing security and best practices for safely distributing prescription drugs from manufacturers to pharmacies and other institutions. Applicants for VAWD undergo a compliance review licensure verification, an inspection, background checks, and screening through NABP's clearinghouse.
